The FBI launched a series of raids in four states on Wednesday — including the home of Gary Jones, president of the United Auto Workers Union — as part of an expanding corruption probe.

So far, nine people have been charged, with eight convicted, in a case that involved illegal payments to union officials. The case initially centered around payoffs to union officials by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, with labor leaders showered with cash, as well as trips, expensive dinners, and even $1,000 pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes.

The raids appear to signal that the corruption may be more far-reaching. And they come at a difficult moment for the UAW. The union is in the midst of contract talks with General Motors, Ford and Fiat Chrysler

See my tag line.

Corruption feeds corruption. As a Christian I feel very blessed to be born in the USA. I love this country and the opportunities I’ve had. The UAW has never supported or endorsed a candidate I believed was best for my state or country.

Gee, FBI looks like busy, little, crime fighters.

This is probably more about democrat retaliation for the UAW not providing enough foot soldiers for Biden in the current democrat primary circus than about corruption.

Typical FBI PR move to hide the fact that they're nothing but an arm of the DC political machine.

Trump want’s Detroit to knock down car prices around $3000. He means the portion that the union takes, right?

JFK empowered the corrupt unelected class when he created public unions.

When will they go after those (themselves)? Rhetorical.

President Trump could get rid of federal labor unions with the stroke of a pen. I hope he does it during his second term.

How they could go from loving Obama to loving Trump in just a few years is not exactly clear to me, and now there’s this. Drain the swamp(s).

with cash, as well as trips, expensive dinners, and even $1,000 pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes.

Chump change compared to the scale and quality of bribes that politicians enjoy. You'll never see those arrests tho'.
