Ridiculous! The military members, at least, were ORDERED overseas by their government. It would never hold up in court.

Not true. The basis for citizenship in those cases is not "born in the US."
Actually at one time children of the military were not automatically citizens if they weren’t born on post or other US “territory”. My sister was born in 1942 in Panama in the same hospital McCain was born in. She discovered she was not a citizen years later when she tried to register to vote. It was quite a mess.
