Because the real rats are them.

If you do not want to use poison then get a handle on proper sanitation. No trash equals no rats. You also have to demolish all abandoned and derelict buildings.

Good triage.
Dead four legged rats can’t vote.
Dead two legged ‘RATS can—early and often.

I guess they were afraid a lot of politicians would beat the rats to the poison.

Spread by rats and fleas. It’s undoubtedly there; like leprosy it’s not that uncommon, but it can be treated with antibiotics now.

I have the solution.
Let's vote for the rats in the next election.
🐭🐀🐁🐭🐀🐁 They couldn't do any worse job, of managing the state, than the current human members of the rodent party are doing.
They would be an improvement.

California started with a RAT problem ... and now has a rat problem.
We’re going to need to send the 82nd Airborne to San Francisco before this is over.
To: Kaslin
I live in an area outside of Los Angeles - and have never seen a rat problem this bad. We've spent thousands on exterminators - and still the rats keep coming! My neighbors on either side have also had exterminators out - repeatedly.
I'm surrounded by rats! ON the wires, under the house - on the city council, in the statehouse. Rats, rats, rats! All of them...
Finally got the problems solved....

And paid maternity leave for mother rats, 15 times a year.
