Boy I’d hate to be raising a kid right now - because there would be one unbreakable rule:
NO SOCIAL MEDIA OF ANY TYPE. DON’T POST THERE, DON’T GO THERE, DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.
This totally worthless crap causes more problems and situations than anyone can imagine. Stick to your close friends and family, and talk to them.

The only problem is the taxpayers are the ones who have to pay............... So what?! When it starts to hit the taxpayers in the pocket book they will start paying attention to who they are hiring to run their schools and FIRE their rear ends out of there.

Perhaps they will pay closer attention next election if the lesson is painful enough.

As long as the school follows it’s “safe 2 tell” bit, no suit against them will succeed as long as they review they vid and see it’s not a threat and reinstate the kid. The student and parents have already been damaged by the schools actions. Sue. They need to be brought to task for irrational behavior.
One thought is to start calling or logging on to the “safe 2 tell” and reporting the administrators, teachers, and other employees of the school district as being overheard making threats to injure or kill students. Use their own tactics against them. It is anonymous, after all. Make them realize what is being done to innocent people by having it done to them.

Well, the taxpayers are also the voters who put in this law/regulation, so they are getting the government and school district that they deserve.
I love the fact that this incident has been used to show what red flag laws do. Maybe, maybe, a few people with functioning neurons will figure out that Red Flag laws are the gateway to fascism.
