Mobile has become dangerous. The race of professional victims prey upon visitors there like buzzards to carrion. When Mobile has the 5K run there, the local affirmative action criminals have learned that the runners are unarmed when they return to their vehicles and wait for them to go to their vehicles where they rob them. I have a friend that this happened to about five years ago and was lucky to only to have been struck on the head once before he was robbed. It’s become a yearly ritual for runners to be robbed in Mobile.
That sounds like the type of thing that happens right before a war starts.
I agree. I moved there in the early 90’s. I talked with a lot of locals and based on their advice, I bought a property out in the Dawes/Theodore area near the Miss. border. Mardi Gras always had some kind of shooting. Glad to get out of there eventually.
