Unusual in Minnesota to serve more than one-third of a sentence. While hes in hell be part of a radicalizing Muslim gang. Another time bomb.

Yup. The animal didn’t give a damn. Did Christian Freepers actually forget about “an eye for an eye”?

These are Minnesotans, who STATEWIDE, inflict evil on themselves with pathetic or outright evil politicians. Give Minnesota to Canuckistan.

No forgiveness. If I was the dad I would try to find a way to have him killed in prison

AFTER TOSSING OVER:"Weeeeeee foooorrrgiiiiiiive yoooouuuuuuuu!"
Then sincerely repent for seeking an eye for an eye, ask God's forgiveness, and return to healing your sweet baby.

To “forgive” these subhuman scum is to submit to their ways. They see this as weakness, it does not move their black hearts. They do not repent they push harder.
Kill them all let God sort them out.

Id also point out that the parents can forgive him for all the grief and disruption he brought to their lives, but they cannot forgive him for the harm hes caused to someone else. Its not like he threw THEM off the balcony.

Yep - doing what Christians should do. Note that they did not say “Your Honor - please don’t make him go to prison.” In fact, they may have well tried to plead for a stiffer sentence. Forgiveness and justice aren’t the same thing - and one should have both. I think the dad’s statement summed up the idea of forgiveness well. This guy already devastated their family. Holding on to the hate, or even giving a fleeting thought to the scumbag just takes more from the family.
Not sure that I could do it. I know I’m supposed to think “What would Jesus do.” Often it is more “What would Clint Eastwood do” thoughts.

Oh, that is right. The little boy was white and the attempted murderer was black.

Administering proper justice helps a lot of people truly be able to forgive. And its ikprtant because forgiving doesnt mean forgetting or letting off the hook, it lets you shift your focus forward and move on. But real justice is required for many folks to let this happen. Otberwise its like a missing body, you’re stuck in limbo.
