There is still slavery in Mother Africa today and these Communists DO NOT CARE.
A typical quality piece by Mr. Greenfield. In this instance it’s also a keeper for future reference.

Then you have the black Americans slaves stuck on stupid on the dimocrat plantation.
Daniel does a good job. It would have been worth while to note that slavery was rampant in the New World.
The Aztecs and many of the tribes of the Americas kept slaves. The Aztecs often killed and ate theirs.
The NYT’s goal is to bring back slavery, but to call it socialism. In their twisted world, the educated people would be forced to support a lazy class through providing free medical care, education, housing, and food. No, thanks.
Eventually whatever reparations were paid would be looked upon with derision just like 40 acres and a mule are today.

My only nit is the insistence of using “BCE” rather than “BC”. I detest that. All of a piece of eradicating God out of the public square.

BCE= Before Common Era CE= Common Era
If it bothers you just substitute Christian for Common and all is good. Even so the dating of our common calendar is off by probably 2 to 4 years anyway due to some error some monk made way back.
Yeah, it bothers me.
Why do we have to change the language like this?
It was a Jewish idea and since the author is Jewish it shouldn’t surprise. You and I can still use BC and AD however we want. He didn’t use the Hebrew calendar since we’d all be confused since right now in that calendar it’s the year 5779.
