Former first lady Michelle Obama encouraged her followers to remember during the back-to-school season that girls around the world have limited access to attend school.
Obama shared a photo from her school days as part of #WorldChairtyDay, while urging others to post #BackToSchool photos, support the Girls Opportunity Alliance and donate to its GoFundMe page.
"As students here in the U.S. head back to school, let's remember that more than 98 million adolescent girls around the world don't have that opportunity," she tweeted Thursday.
The Girls Opportunity Alliance is run by the Obama Foundation. They reported that out of 750 million illiterate adults in the world, two-thirds are women.

Seriously though, this is a legitimate issue.
The problem is it's in 'those countries' and an ongoing problem with 'those people' she can't risk naming, shaming, and offending.
So once again we get a vague trope about 'helping girls'.
These foundations and charities do nothing, they are useless, all they do is collect money and spend it on themselves.
They only exist to make people feel good about themselves.
I wonder how her hashtag bring our girls back worked out?

Yeah, and it used to be about a billion. The strides made in the last couple of decades have been huge, and they are primarily due to increasingly free market economies in developing countries. Just the sort of thing the Obamas would like to pull the plug on.

Yes but given that this is run by the Obama Foundation, I suspect that the motive for gaining access to a large number of young girls doesn’t match the marketing copy claims.
Knowing the nature of the Obamas, I can only presume that they’re now operating a child sex trafficking operation to replace the one they lost when Epstein got put away.
