Police will swarm through the cities and collect all the guns from gang-bangers.

Oops, wrong executive order. ;-)

Not really sure how much this will help when most of this is still relying on our TDPS to react.

Education and bring awareness up on reporting tools are good but why at the school level? This will lead to people being accosted by TDPS on bad tips from youngsters.

The fundamental cause of almost all these attacks, going all the way back to Columbine, are these schools that have been turned into Communist brainwashing pressure cookers.

The schools and the ideology they transmit are the cause. They demand belief in too many things that flat-out contradict empirical reality, and the cognitive dissonance is all but guaranteed to drive a edge cases over the edge.

Our high school students have the same anxiety levels that institutionalized mental patients had in the ‘50s. All the red flag laws and emergency orders and gun restrictions in the world aren’t going to fix that.

Fully agree. However, they DON”T CARE. What they do care about is this allows the communists to disarm the American People which is one of the very first things on the communist agenda. With an armed populace in place, they know they can’t forces their BS down our throats without a bloody fight. And they’re waaaaay to cowardly to actually physically fight.

I think that’s due to the Parkland shooting where the school and local PD conspired to keep bad actor students’ out of jail and off the stats sheets.

Items 4 and 5 are blatantly unconstitutional against the 4th Amendment and is going to get innocent people killed.

I think “they don’t care” gets them off too light.

The Left WANTS these mass killing events to happen. They love them, they would have one every single day if they could, and twice on Sunday (at church of course).

If you read their behavior, they are not horrified at all... they thrive on these massacres and are politically energized by them. Would it surprise you if mass killings were greeted with cheers behind closed doors at the DNC and its affiliates?

Thanks, TADSLOS. Not sure what I think of this executive order at this point, but anything to curb the lawful carry and use of firearms in Texas is NOT good.

The fact that that nutjob here in Odessa called both the 911 number and the FBI tip line and no one got a clue is really astonishing and scary. Our law agencies need to be more alert calls that come in. In other words, THEY dropped the ball on this one.

Or did it on purpose.

Why would they do that? After all the shootings even in Texas, you’d think their radar would be sensitive to whatever was on those calls....and the fact that he was just fired.

To;dr: we will keep doing our job and keep track of the frequent problem people because many of these incidents turn out to be people who have been reported as trouble in the works repeatedly by friends, family, and others.

The Litany of calls made concerning this Odessa killer fell in a rabbit hole?

Killer failed background check, called the FBI and 911, as well as his mother reporting to police, etc. How is it that nothing mattered, nothing addressed the obvious?

So what is missing is authority to arrest, appearances before a judge to seek mental health observation and evaluation? It DID NOT USED TO BE THIS WAY.

The politicians wanted these mental cases free to roam and Hollywood movies re-enforced the idea that all mental institutions were Evil and abusive and Never restored Anyone’s mental and general health.

Some of these, just like the Parkland shooter beg for help, but in odd forms, so they get blown off and finally melt down, for lack of help, care and attention.

Mental events require treatment when obsessions and incoherency are obvious to family, friends and LE.

So what stops the public and LE? They Are reporting these events. They Are recording those reports.

The psychs don’t want them. They don’t want to be around their clients. That’s what happened. Many of the clients are mentally ill because of previous illegal drug problems. I’ve seen them ordered to evaluation and out in two days. At least some of them have firearms at home afterwards, because the psychs don’t want them adjudicated as being mentally unfit and in the presence of the psychs more of the time.

It also serves the anti-Second-Amendment purposes of the radical psychs.

That is probably true and why institutional settings worked until politics closed them down. Now, psyches don’t want to psych in an office setting.
I don’t blame them.

As usual, we know how to do this but political chaos is preferred by the advancing push to disintegrate America.
