When staff at Westglades Middle School heard that Nikolas Cruz had committed the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS, some couldn’t believe it. The fact that he was a mass murderer wasn’t what surprised them, but rather the fact that he had attended that school.
“How is that possible?” one Westglades educator recalled thinking. “We did our jobs. It took forever, but we got him [to the specialized school] where he needed to go. We couldn’t believe they ever let him into [Stoneman].”
Westglades students and staff had never seen anyone like Nikolas Cruz. One student, Paige, recalled the time that she met Cruz. They were standing outside their classroom waiting for their teacher to open the door, and Cruz offered her a hug, which Paige accepted. Their teacher later pulled Paige aside and warned her, “Don’t touch him. He just got caught jerking off.”

We have to reopen insane asylums for the mentally ill that cannot be treated successfully for them to function.
We have to have separate schools for the students that are not actually able to mainstream into classrooms. I am talking about behavior issues. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would have known without a doubt this shooter did not belong in a regular school.
He was a candidate for an asylum, his education needed to be tutoring in the asylum. If it was possible to treat him, he would have had a better chance getting constant treatment with full supervision.
We need to quit pretending that everyone is normal, that everyone is the same. Just not so. Many can be helped, there are some who cannot.
This incomprehensibly stupid Supt Runcie was actually named "Supt of The Year"......lauded for keeping arrest roles down....

Mr. Pollack believes that “political correctness killed Meadow.” A prominent villain in his narrative is Robert Runcie, who came to Broward from Chicago in 2011 as the superintendent of the county’s public schools. Mr. Runcie introduced a program called Promise—a feel-good acronym for Preventing Recidivism through Opportunities, Mentoring, Interventions, Support and Education—under which students who commit crimes in public schools would no longer be reported to the police by administrators. Under Promise, students would be evaluated and dealt with exclusively within the schools and their associated reform programs.
Even felonies as severe as drug dealing, sexual assault and bringing weapons to school could lawfully be kept from the police. Mr. Runcie “saw that minority students were being referred to the police at higher rates than whites,” as Mr. Pollack tells it.
“Rather than recognize that misbehavior can be the result of many complex problems outside school, or at home,” the superintendent concluded the disparity was because “teachers and schools were racist.” With no reporting, “now there’s no crime. The school’s data looks great.
Problem solved.” But a much worse problem was created: “No student has a criminal background as a result, so once you graduate from school and want to buy a gun, background checks are useless.”
Mr. Runcie and his supporters called their policy “discipline reform.” Violent students had to attend “healing circles,” among other sorts of in-house, nonjudicial remedies.
The result, says Mr. Pollack—so agitated that he almost shouts—is that “mentally disturbed students, violent psychopaths like 18-1958, are right there in the classroom with normal students like my daughter, and with teachers who don’t know how to deal with them, since they can’t bring in the cops.” (Excerpt) Read more at wsj.com ...

The status of the school ensured heavy media coverage, this never would seen the light of day in a majority minority school unless the evil gun was used by a white conservative kid from outside the school.
There was a ready made band of indoctrinated students to parade before the press.
The Sheriff was a leftist tool close to Congress woman DWS, and the list goes on.

It is well documented throughout history that leftists will sacrifice innocents to forward the agenda and the more innocent the victims the better.
And we wonder why we have an epidemic of mass shootings. Psych patients are no longer in a secure environment, they are out in the general public because it is cheaper.
