Bill Gates in an interview published Tuesday defended his association with registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, describing his relationship with the disgraced financier as business-oriented.
Gates told The Wall Street Journal that he met with Epstein solely for his connections to other businessmen, adding that he did not attend the rumored parties at which Epstein was accused of preying on young girls.
"I met him. I didn’t have any business relationship or friendship with him. I didn’t go to New Mexico or Florida or Palm Beach or any of that," Gates told the Journal. "There were people around him who were saying, 'hey, if you want to raise money for global health and get more philanthropy, he knows a lot of rich people.' "
"Every meeting where I was with him were meetings with men. I was never at any parties or anything like that. He never donated any money to anything that I know about," Gates continued.

I’m not Gates fan but this is a plausible explanation. The world of billionaires and multi-multi-millionaires is pretty small so I’m sure its not unusual for them to bump into each other from time to time.

At the very least, it shows that money and power completely exonerates one from moral/ethical/legal scrutiny. Everyone knew Epstein was a perv and sort of a pimp, but that was irrelevant precisely because of his wealth and power.

How are these people considered so f**king smart and be too stupid to try and throw this out there as a defense. The guy was once the RICHEST PERSON ON THE PLANET. He didn’t need to rub elbows with anyone for connections. His software is used all over the planet. The other businessmen that use his software to run and operate their businesses. Sure. That’s exactly why he needed Epstein.
Guarantee you, you put Gates a room with a seasoned investigator that really knows how to do an interview/interrogation, Gates is singing in no time. He won’t know how to lie.

They were very famous, wealthy connections.
Gates knew Jeff’s love of Young girls and most likely knew of the solicitation organization and still met with him.
I dont accept his actions.
Bill Gates strikes as being more like Sheldon Cooper than Jeffrey Epstein.
