I’m afraid people will forget all about what 9/11 was about.

On the news tonight, they said how today is the 18th anniversary of 9/11. They interviewed somebody from a school, who said they discussed with the students, that 9/11 should teach all of us to be nice to each other, and that you never know when life may change or end.

There was no mention of Muslim terrorism, no mention of Al Qaeda and Bin Laden, and no mention of exactly what happened on 9/11/01.

If one didn’t already know what 9/11 was about, you would never know it from today’s news.

I recall the D-Day commemoration mentioned that D-Day was the Normandy invasion during World War II. Why is it ok to tell us what D-Day was about, but apparently the news media playbook does not allow a full discussion of what 9/11 was about?
