Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax (D) on Thursday filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against CBS Corp. and CBS Broadcasting in New York, accusing the organization of publishing false statements from two women who accused him of sexual assault.
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court in Virginia's Eastern District, came in response to CBS interviews with the accusers the network conducted in February.

Okay, I know I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but shouldn’t he be Suing the two Women who accused him of sexual assault instead of CBS?
I hope he wins. I don’t want him to be a governor or to have 400 million dollars but the news media need to have some limits placed on them.

I am pretty sure that Fairfax has no problem when the news is meant to harm Trump or his supreme court picks.
This guy was a partner in a BigLaw firm. He must know this will go nowhere. Maybe he’s using a lawsuit to try to restore some of his reputation.
This makes me think he is guilty, as this is his way to “prove” he is innocent, but he knows the case will go no where, so no fear of discovery... Kind of cynically shrewd.
Tough choice for CBS. They either have to attack a black Dim politician or cave and cough up big bucks.
I’d bet they settle for a much smaller amount soon to keep this out of the news running up to the elections.
Were the women just running off at the mouth and CBS exploited it or had they officially filed charges?
