"due to unacceptable levels of youth usage" and
"These products introduce the highly addictive chemical nicotine to these young people and their developing brains"
[[At least 530 people in 38 states have been sickened with a vaping-related lung disease, and nine people have died.]]
How many of these 530 were vaping THC products? They never tell you- Yet other reports say the majority of cases are from THC vaping (but even they don’t give numbers)
Is it regular vaping liquids causing the problems?
Didn't these things have to get FDA approval before they were put on the market in the first place (a non-smoker asks)?
[[are investigating whether Juul violated consumer protection laws by marketing its products to teenagers younger than 18.]]
Really? Did their adds say something along the line of “If you’re under 18 wow have we got a product for you”?
How are they determining the adds were targeted to people under 18?
and their developing brains”
A pity yours hasnt seemed to develop much past the age of 9 or so.

So does eggplant, bell peppers and tomatoes.... Whats the point of the quote?
Amazing how a billion dollars from the tobacco corporations can shape both the politicians and media. Vaping is cutting into tobacco sales as a safer alternative. Can’t have that.
Make weed and prostitution legal but get rid of the cake batter flavored nicotine juice. Makes sense.
I’m wondering if the liquid in nicotine-only e-cigarettes also is an oil that accumulates in the lungs. If so then the flavored ones are getting a bad rap.
I also wonder if the nicotine in regular cigarettes is in the form of an oil that accumulates in the lungs, but its harmful effect (if any) is masked by the smoke that’s also inhaled.
WTF ever.
Let people do whatever they want.
thousands die from tobacco each year....
Sorry, I’m a parent of middle aged and high school kids. I think this is a great idea and support 100%.
Nicotine is HIGHLY addictive. Juul and others may have started with a genuinely good idea, but pushing out flavors like Pina Colada, French Toast and Bubble Gum?? Who the F is that targeting? VERY unlikely it’s an “already smoker” who is trying to quit. THAT person can easily switch to a non-flavored alternative in an effort to get off smoke.
My son told me about 75% of the high school class is vaping. That is friggin disgusting.
Vaping isn’t safe like they held it out to be. Clearly we know that now. It’s not FDA approved. As far as I know, there isn’t an age limit on how to buy it and clearly if there is, NO ONE is enforcing it.
I fully support this and I’m a long time employee of large corporations so I rarely come down on this side of an argument. I get personal choice, accountability and responsibility. But the target audience for this stuff doesn’t always possess the level of maturity they need to make a good choice. Peer pressure, hormones, girl friends/boy friends, stress from school etc... It all takes a toll and no matter how much you preach as parents, kids will always find a way.

What it seems to be:
1. Became a big teenager fad very fast
2. The chemicals that activate the “vapor” seem to be the problem
3. With Marijuana decriminalization and CBD popularity, many people saw uses, before those chemical risks surfaced.
1 in 4 high school students using e-cigarettes in the past month
WOW!!!
You always have stupid kids but 1 in 4?
I don’t vape, but have friends who do.
Banning vaping products is a knee-jerk response to idiots who vape illegal and bootleg cannabis products and get sick and in a few cases die. It has nothing to do with people trying to quit cigarettes and tobacco products.
This is typical liberal panic induced craziness.
Drugs used as puberty blockers in youth linked to thousands of adult deaths, FDA shows
A Few vaping deaths and wham- industry gets shut down- [practically-
1000’s of deaths, 6,370 deaths from hormone blocking drugs used by mentally ill people that think they are a different gender- and “Oh no big deal” by the left
Iheart Radio runs Juul commercials back to back some days to the point of audio torture.
I realize repeating a message sells products but at some point you just feel like you are locked in Club Gitmo and undergoing some type of mental breakdown routine.
