They think anytime a Republican is elected president, there must have been something 'illegitimate' going on. But: He was elected.
And, contrary to the endless litany of Democratic complaints, he was legitimately elected. You may not like the way we elect presidents through the Electoral College — I do; if anything, I think the Founders erred on the side of making the presidency excessively democratic in character, with the disastrous results we see before us today — but the Electoral College was not invented in 2016, and it was not created to frustrate the ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton. Some Russians posted some bulls**t on Facebook. The votes were what they were.
There are a few different ways to react to that. The thing that a normal political party in a normal country with a functioning political culture would do would be to crawl under the porch for a couple of days to recuperate, admit that your candidate was terrible and ran a terrible race with terrible advisers, and start looking around for somebody to do better next time. You might even — if you were smart and in possession of a reasonable degree of intellectual honesty — ask yourselves what it was about that other guy that some voters liked so much.

Some are saying it is because Trump refused to back the Saudis and bomb Iran. Apparently wall street traditional big oil wanted to bankrupt the small fracking operations to buy them back for themselves, but apparently they are Trump’s base and Trump put a stop to that by ending their taxation and is letting Iran affect the wall street big oil assets in retaliation.
Also the Russia collusion allegation is because Russia’s traditional oil is running out but they have huge fracking potential in Siberia, and they want to buy that tech from Schlumberger with the help of Trump. So they want to hold Trump’s feet to the fire on this. Basically Russia would give us oil in exchange for the tech extraction services.
Trying to avoid the biggest landslide in American history.

The few times I’ve brought that up, I was surprised at the amount of support 17A has here.
What they miss, and are carefully channeled away from finding out, is that prior to the 17th most State Legislatures could recall and replace a Senator if a simple majority in the State House thought the Senator was not voting in the best interests of the State or might vote against the best interests of the State on a critical issue.
Consider how many State Legislatures the Republicans control and how many "Republican" Senators are way left of their State Legislature and you get some idea of how different the Senate would be were the 17th repealed.

They're calling for impeachment because they can. And nobody's going to reel them in. They just keep getting re-elected.
Why not call for impeachment? Why not seek to remove a duly elected president? It costs them nothing. And it gives them something to do since, obviously, once elected, they do nothing. They're lazy and corrupt. Congress is their free ride.

The only way "mainstream" or "moderate" Democrats - who hate PDJT - see a chance of survival is to defeat Trump, and they're now siding with the Progressives in their party on Impeachment.

My own girlfriend who voted for Shitlery (before she met me ...) now says she's so turned off by what the Democrats are doing she's voting for Trump in 2020. There are LOTS of people like her our there, I hear it every day.
