Actually, every utterance by a Congresscritter should be under threat of penalties of perjury unless they are required by law in a genuine national security issue to not say anything, in which case they should not say anything.

As noted in a previous thread today. House & Senate members are exempt from prosecution for Any thing they say in the House & Senate.

They always have a green to light to Lie For Effect.
