Got rid of cable
I did the same 9 years ago, although I went a step further and got rid of the television altogether.
Your post is spot on. Life is good without the constant murmur of television in the background. Now, my entertainment and news is all on-demand.
I won’t dump the TV, but getting rid of all the Cable Noise (most of the News is Noise, too), as well as Mom’s Netflix prescription (she recently passed away) would be good, too.
TV broadcast channels are now digital and are divided into sub-channels, some of which show old, classic movies, so I would still have enough to entertain me from a time when Hollywood had lots of people who actually loved America.
