While I like Trumps new approach of economic warfare as a first option vs military warfare (the old approach wasn’t working), I share Bolton’s view that NK cant be trusted to give up its nukes any more than China can be trusted to trade fairly or Iran can be trusted to not export terrorism. So the solution space is still very limited.

I would disagree with them on that. Kim will not give up his nukes. He has no reason to give them up and every reason to hang on to them.

I’m not being rude or sarcastic to you - you can believe he’s right all you want, but he’s no longer employed by Trump, and thus has no authority to make any negotiations on behalf of Trump or the country.
