This is kinda like Sarah Palin when asked about endorsing John McCain when he was primaried for re-election for Senate in AZ. There was a much more conservative candidate running--one that much more aligned with Palin.

She was in a tough spot there. Look like an ungrateful biatch, or hold the nose for the guy that put her on the national stage.

0bama is in a bit of spot as well---endorse an over the hill guy, or endorse someone else and possibly look like he made a bad pick for VP.
