Government is only as good and honest as the people who run it and work there. Government has deteriorated to the point where the average government official is far less honest and trustworthy than the average taxpayer/ government slave.
As such, socialism and any form of big government is a monumentally stupid idea.
Our federal government now runs our country the same way that the Mafia ran Atlantic City in the 1970s and ‘80s.
