If I had critical data on a server, it wouldn't be stored in a 3rd world country, with corrupt leadership, near Russia and halfway around the world from the US. It would be in the US in a secured vault.

It is akin to storing US confidential data on a server in the Ukraine. Actually, there might even be US confidential data on the DNC server. After all, it probably has communications between the DNC and future presidents and officials.
