You KNOW that the Southern District of New York District judges almost certainly approved wiretaps on these two. The FBI agents working for the Southern District of New York Prosecutors almost certainly knew about their trip and arrested them at a point where the SDNY could claim they were “fleeing”.
And certain FReepers think it’s hunky dory that the DemocRATS use the Blue Slip process (thanks to the Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham) to not allow Trump to fill any of the VACANT SDNY District Judgeships.
I thought these guys were from Florida. The indictment lists a few tangential acts as having happened in NY. So, first thing their defense should do is ask for a rule 21 change of venue.
