The problem will be that liberal Christians will back the persecution, support it even encourage it. Once the non-liberals are gone, the persecutors will turn on the liberals,
There is no such thing. One might be a liberal. One might be a Christian. But there is no such thing as a liberal Christian. Yes, there are liberals who masquerade as Christian. They prefer blanket titles like, "Methodist", or "Lutheran", or "Catholic." But they aren't Christian.
I can call my motorcycle a jet airplane, but it won't fly.
Matt 15:8,9: This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
And, Matt 7:21-23: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
There is no such thing as a liberal Christian. They are liberals masquerading as Christians.
