Curiously, there doesn’t seem to be ONE democrat on that committee who has integrity or self respect.
What a terrible situation, to be governed by those who would do what they are doing.

I wonder if, in the future, these times will be considered the “Nixon impeachment in reverse?” What Democrats are doing is ruining the whole impeachment process and it has become meaningless.

Don’t be too sure. Power is all, and they have the power - simply because they have seized it.
The House of Representatives was not meant to govern the United States, and for that matter, neither were the intelligence services (unthought of at the time).
But nobody is opposing them, so they’re running with it. There has got to be a constitutional challenge to this, because I can’t believe some entity of government, while entitled to set its own policies, can do things that conflict with all of the Constitutional guarantees to due process and legality.
I is not about that, it is about giving Schiff's committee the ability to subpoena and gather dirt without giving the minority any rights at all. If the voted to impeach in the House the minority would have similar rights. It is all about denying the minority any right to challenge anything they say, other than complain.

Well, Americans don’t believe in secret trials, but the power of the House of Representatives over impeachment is absolute, and the Members who nexercise that power and who make the rules have to face the voters every two years.
And that’s the way it is.
