Democrats won’t tolerate a 3rd party depriving them of wins from the left (watch how the Green Party, which proved promising to do just that, has all but vanished as an entity since the ‘90s), but the GOP (or specifically, center-right voters) gets effed over by these same Libertarians on countless occasions. In Minnesota, they have an “Independence Party” which plays the role of the Libertarians, and the GOP has been screwed there as a result. What a joke.
You may have a point depending on the circumstances - since the Libertarians are full on open borders and openly and proudly admit it.

And Goebel is the only Governor to get capped in office? I didn’t know that.
It’s hard to whip up a lot of sympathy for those who are assassinated for cheating their way to high office. Goebel could’ve accepted the results, waited 4 years and perhaps won the office then without chicanery and lived.
