One blame they made on Republicans was that they did not have enough funding to have a more defensible embassy compound in Benghazi. At the time I looked at a lot of pictures of that compound, both inside and out. I have a son in Special Forces so try to see these things from his perspective. My thought was, “Gee, all you need is an 8 foot ladder and you can climb right in.” My questions are, who picked this site, why did they pick it, and why as the situation grew more serious didn’t they make more defensive moves or change location? I do know our dead Ambassador had been in Libya from well before the overthrow and should have been well aware of conditions. In fact if I remember correctly, he traveled there to evaluate the situation and make recommendations.
