While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-SD) stated that, based on the reporting he has seen, the picture emerging from acting U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor’s testimony is “not a good one.”
Thune said, “The picture coming out of it, based on the reporting that we’ve seen is — yeah, I would say is not a good one.”

Do they need to be GOP?
If they do the dirty deed, they will for sure be comfortably paid and they can step down to spend more time with their families.
Every US Senator is bought and paid for, every last one of them. Don’t we know there are spies that know exactly who is behind controlling each one? And that the war for power would have tho financial backers behind GOP Senators cased and doxxed? If those financial strings are cut, a Senator goes adrift. Not all Senators but perhaps 20 GOP Senators can be tied down to a new controller.
The GOP is at a crossroads. If Trump goes down due to Republican collusion, the party will be decimated for generations. It will truly become a non-entity.
But then, there are those in the Republican Party who seem to be fine with that path...
Thune just loves endless wars, hence this.

As I understand it THEY are who determines what an impeachable offense is...A number of them said Trump doesn't even have to break any laws to commit an impeachable offense...
This is where it could get interesting...Some of them have made the comment, 'what if Trump ever refuses to leave office'...What possible scenario could someone envision Trump refusing to leave office if Congress decided it was time for him to go??? And illegitimate impeachment might garner that response from Trump...I'm thinking they are considering that illegitimate impeachment and considering what to do with Trump (and his base) if that scenario plays out...
