By having Taylor testify and pretending that he is not the “whistleblower”, they can have him offer corroborating testimony to himself. Kinda like what they did with the dossier.
Of course it’s not. It was only used to obtain fresh ALLEGATIONS from others. Allegations without hearing any contrary views from equally placed persons. They don’t intend to “prove” anything. They intend to “charge” based on allegations alone, eliminate debate, have a quick vote, and send the allegation alone based “impeachment” to the Senate.
If McConnell has any gonads it requires a speedy vote to reject the “impeachment” notice from Pelosi.

Exactly. This was totally predicable yet still the Senate GOP gave the House Dems a month to pivot away from the CIA spy/whistleblower complaint. And of course they did.
I can only conclude at this point McConnell simply doesn’t care if POTUS is impeached. Actually, that is the best case scenario. Worst case is he wants him impeached and convicted.
Damned right. And he’ll do it.
Any Republicans in the Senate or House who don’t back him up had better get with it. That’s all I’ll say...I don’t want the Law at my door.

Once they rehabilitated Sy Hersh into an investigative journalist, the entire plan was obvious.
In the 1970s, Sy’s *work* was only available in broadsides that actually were printed on yellow paper.
Unfortunately, those of us who were straight enough to actually read, back then, are dying off and the rest probably thought I.F. Stone was an actual publisher of merit.

It’s called evidence. Recordings, audio & video. Original documents with signatures (and maybe DNA). Always have witnesses. Always have chain of custody. Never deal with anyone before you have a complete file on them, their families and associations.
In a pinch, cooperate with legitimate authorities and be helpful.
