Why doesn’t Jordan hold his own hearings? Stream them on youtube or whatever.
Don’t think the minority person on the Judiciary can hold a hearing....but since the rules are out the window, he could certainly try. Good idea.
They wouldn’t be official hearings. Just rent a conference room and invite “witnesses”. No show witness = coupist.

I wish they were screaming just as loud that the Rats star witness is a Sciff coached Soros connected Trump hater. To me that is a bigger problem. So they throw the hearings open and this little punk spews out his lies to a national audience. Seems like a trap to me.

They should be interviewing/deposing the same witnesses Schiff is interviewing/deposing - in an open forum. The republicans could then ask their questions/cross examine the witness to make the record. Also, there would then be two sets of transcripts from which you can then compare what was said behind closed doors, to what was said in open forum.
Agreed. It should be done in open session so the public can see/hear what's going on. They should call the same witnesses that Schiff has called.
Jordan is one of the Republicans allowed into the depositions. He can ask questions, too.

It failed on its own. This witch hunt is even more pathetic and corrupt. Why fight it and stop it?
Let the house play in their silly little impeachment sandbox. It keeps them occupied. They have no real power other than hearings and leaks. If they hold a vote then they will give up the whole impeachment narrative to the republican held senate and then their hearings and investigations are over and done. Let them cry wolf.

Look at it the opposite way: since he’s not up for re-election, there’s NO reason for him NOT to take a principled stand. AND, if he does, next time he IS up for re-election, he’ll have this to his credit, ‘cuz a move like this to restore transparency oughta move the needle for ALL Americans; not just Conservatives.
