FBI agents manipulated Flynn file, as Clapper allegedly urged 'kill shot': court filing

An explosive new court filing from Michael Flynn's legal team alleges that FBI agents manipulated official records of the former national security adviser's 2017 interview that led to him being charged with lying to investigators. It's Flynn's lawyers latest attempt to get the case thrown out. ...

Whether the combative filings will persuade the court in a case where Flynn has already pleaded guilty remains to be seen.

Prosecutors have strongly rejected claims they're hiding evidence, saying "the government has exceeded its discovery and disclosure obligations in this matter," including by providing Flynn with thousands of pages of documents.

Federal prosecutors earlier this month called the defense's filings a "fishing expedition."

"Since the beginning of their involvement, the defendant's new counsel, have sought to get the charges dropped, professed their client's actual innocence, and perpetuated conspiracy theories, all while stating that the defendant does not intend to withdraw his guilty plea," they wrote.

The federal prosecutors seem peeved that the defendant’s attorney is professing her client’s innocence.

Democrats. Manipulating is what they do.
It’s like expecting a scorpion not to sting.

I pray that Clapper, Brennan and Comey get what should be coming to
them. All are liars, leakers and traitors.
Bull Durham is about to squeeze them like a lemon.

Makes you wonder how all of this happened under Session’s watch?

I mean was Sessions this totally inept, or was he in on the whole thing from the start?

I think he was basically not cut out for the job. He wasn’t tough, and lacked the ability to protect the president, which in many ways, My Friends, it’s like a Christian person trying to speak up for Jesus.

I think he may have been the ultimate Deep State Deep Cover Spy. Cozy up to Trump as his only GOP Senate supporter and then sabotage him from the inside.

Manipulated records? Isn’t this called falsified records, and wouldn’t that be a crime?

This right here should be a giant clue to everyone about what is actually going on here.

If Flynn's legal strategy is to pursue this angle of attack without withdrawing his guilty plea, then I believe their strategy all along may have been to throw continuous roadblocks up in these proceedings for the sole purpose of extending the process while other events unfolded.

My suspicion now is that Flynn doesn't just want to get vindicated in this case. He wants two things:

1. He wants to be vindicated, but not through a dismissal of the charges. He wants a formal finding of prosecutorial misconduct, which will allow him to sue the DOJ for compensatory and punitive damages that could potentially run into eight figures.

2. He is working with Trump's team to use his legal proceedings as an avenue to expose the DOJ-CIA cabal that has been working against Trump since 2015.

Item #2 was something I had considered as a remote possibility for a while, but this latest filing by his attorney Sydney Powell is a strong indicator that this is the case. The big "red flag" for me was that Powell's latest filing includes references to information that she could only have obtained from someone inside the DOJ or CIA. In effect, someone in the DOJ is apparently working to undermine a criminal case against Flynn that is being prosecuted by the DOJ.

The conspirators ought to have to repay Flynn’s court costs from their own pockets.

Hope that is true!
And, from all I’ve read about the Barr/Durham investigation, I think it just might be.
We Freepers really need to be praying for President Trump and all on his team!

Well technically it is not his job to protect the President BUT it is his job to ensure that justice is fair and the laws of the land are applied fairly, equally, and under the framework of the Constitution. He decided to take the safe easy road by removing himself from the playing field, leaving the entire issue of the election, investigation about it, russian supposed involvement in the election process and anything having to do with Hitlery left alone. IOW he left it up to the same people who did the crime to bring to light their involvement. He stayed the course on immigration and he was 100% against any liberization of drug laws. So, like you, I believe is he was not up to the task or he had no idea how little support he would get from the RINOs. Either way, he was not the person for the job.

I don’t know if Fatman would have been better at it. Surely the appointment of Sessions makes it certain that he and Trump did not coordinate much on what Trump expected him to do. Unlike the commie party, they all know what to do when appointed without being given a map.
Our appointees believe they run their posts as if they run the fiefdoms sans any oversight.

Well they have a good technical point which is that he still has pled guilty and has not asked to withdraw his guilty plea that may be a problem for the court.

I’m no lawyer, so I don’t know how this works, but I think part of the point is that Flynn was unfairly coerced into pleading guilty. This is the bed that the prosecution made. Let them justify the current situation. If Flynn withdraws the plea, then the game starts all over and it becomes a whole new thing. I don’t think that helps Flynn as much as the current strategy which seems aimed at highlighting prosecutorial malfeasance.

I concur, and have from the beginning! Either the deep state had something on Sessions or he was some kind of McCainiac! I don’t listen to what people say...I watch what they do and Sessons was a plant from the get go! or got turned!

You have a good point and his lawyer is making a good effort. But the judge asked him in the past did he want to withdraw his guilty plea and the answer was no. He’s still facing the problem that while asking the court to throw out the charges he hasn’t withdrawn his guilt plea. He’s claiming his innocence but he is before the court as a person who has pled guilty already. He may need to risk withdrawing that plea.

Why doesn’t Barr and/or Trump tell the Flynn prosecutors (who, by the way, work for them) to drop the case? I don’t get why this is allowed to go on.
