Trump is making a mistake to engage on this issue.
The House of Representatives and its committees have ZERO operational responsibilities in this area. They are entitled, as oversight, to an after-action report when the very busy people who planned and executed this op get around to producing one, and that’s all.
I absolutely agree, they couldn’t have contacted their leftist media whores fast enough.
Trump is a guy who needs a foil. Somehow the democrats gave him the perfect foil in Adam Schiff. The only person who could be a worse face for the democrat party than Pelosi is Schiff. He is the face you want representing your opponent.
Thank you Mr. President for protecting the incredibly brave men who committed this attack. One of their lives is worth more than all of Congress.

Please release the body cam footage. I personally want to see this sniveling worm beg for his life while the our brave and loyal K9 was snarling and barking at him.
Also please make sure that this K9 be awarded the highest honors of our military for it’s sacrifice.
Trump’s decisions:
A-If I don’t inform Russia, soldiers may be killed.
B-If I inform Pelosi and Schiff, soldiers may be killed.

I believe that they would actually want military personnel to die in a failed mission. They could then cry their crocodile tears and shout to the nation that it was Trumps fault. They would delight in a river of blood it it would help destroy his presidency, if not his life. We the dirt people mean nothing to them.
Agree. Also, he should call attention to the fact that the House is doing absolutely NONE of “the people’s business” right now and is engaged entirely in internal politics.

I think he purposely omitted Pelosi, Schitt, et al as a slap down and is delighted to anger the MSM with his explanation.

Are you saying that, in a perfect world with no revolutionary opposition and a C-in-C who commanded bipartisan affection and loyalty, that a future President SHOULD consult with the Speaker of the House and various committee chairmen about upcoming military operations for which secrecy is key?
I don't think that at all. The timing and scale of military operations in an ongoing conflict is none of Congress' business, full stop.
Trump SHOULD have been motivated in withholding this information by the inherent nature of the high office he holds, not by his (righteous) anger at the way he is treated by Pelosi and Schiff.
IOW, if Devin Nunes was Speaker of the House and Steve King were the Intel Chair, I wouldn't expect Trump to inform them of a go time or details of operations underway.
There is also this: if Trump had informed Pelosi, she would have insisted on being in the situation room. By not telling Pelosi, Trump denied her the photo op which would have elevated her prestige.
