Well, that’s what happens when you decide to become the Gay Scouts.

Faggots destroy everything they touchPerhaps, but remember, leadership let them in!

When the LDS kids left, the hole was too big to fill.

And the massive membership drop.

Unfortunately, the Boy Scouts turned a blind eye to the sexual predation of adult Scouters and swept it under the rug. Its time to pay the piper.
To: fwdude
In my opinion, this is much more about losing LDS support, which is up to 30% of its national membership.

They should actually be cut in half now that they allow girls.

I am a former boy scout. Life (one step short of Eagle) and order of the arrow.
I was very happy with my experiences with BSA, but I completely understand everyone’s complete revulsion with what Mitt Romney and others, have done to the formerly great organization.

In the private sector, when your paying audience drops, you scale back central location spending. Raising fees to keep the old structure in place sounds like what a government agency would do.
Since membership in BSA is a voluntary thing, the reasonable expectation would be that the membership will continue to shrink and cause a death spiral to the organization. But at least they can spend like they got it until they don't.

Remember that the courts forced the Boy Scouts to accept leaders that did not live up to the standards of the scouts.

My son became an Eagle Scout in 2015. But his best friend’s dad was one of the troup leaders so we felt pretty safe.
I’m glad he got it when he did and when it still meant something.

I don’t remember any “fees” (except to attend Boy Scout Camp) for anything in the late 50’s.

Yep. They let in girls and faggots, and destroyed the troop bonding and pioneer spirit that I knew as a Scout forty-odd years ago. What amazes me is, you don’t really hear about any adolescent hanky-panky going on with girls in the ranks. It’s probably because most boys in the troops have already been castrated and lobotomized by video games and public screwel-teachers.

Remember that the courts forced the Boy Scouts to accept leaders that did not live up to the standards of the scouts. True, but the Scouts did it also before the courts interfered.

Same here. Made Life Scout and Order of the Arrow. Then I aged out of the Scouts. Never made Eagle. Still regret that. I don't regret the experiences with the Scouts, though. My highlight was a week on horseback with my troop at Philmont Scout Ranch.
