Just to add my .02 (I live in the rural northern heartland and I’m nearly 77):

I am horrified at what I read here and elsewhere about the deterioration of everything America. It literally breaks my heart.

The problem is not just immigrants. I know children of friends & family, now in their 40s, who love the changes, which are what they desire. These now-adults were raised well, with morals and religion and intelligent professionals for parents who went out of their way to give their kids the best foundation available. These kids (with a few exceptions)just tolerate their own families/origins/country-in-transition.

Many have been lost to the culture, mainly in the areas of sex and drugs. It seems that the more successful they are, the less they credit America, religion, morality or their families.

We elders are, of course, dying out or aging out to medical and financial situations that lessen our impact. In my 99% white rural area, the majority of newer residents are very liberal. They outvote everyone except in the more remote and smaller townships. They move in, gut the homes, cause the tax rates to skyrocket, freeze out the tradesmen and small farmers and retirees. Fixer-upper shacks below 2,000 sq feet sell for nearly $300k, with taxes to match, forcing many landowners into government or private conservation schemes that lower taxes, attach covenants and prevent real, common sense development or division into smaller parcels of 20-40 acres.

I’m not sure there is a real answer. I don’t think American government works as designed, any longer. We’re trying to downsize and not sure where to move. We’re getting too old to continue moving towards isolation.

We fear for ourselves, out nation and the future. One POTUS alone is not the answer. Anyone else but Trump would have been beaten down by this barrage and there is no one near his grit on the horizon.

We work and pray for his reelection, but I don’t see how he staves off the entire world in another 4 years.

Virginia has a Democrat Governor who wore blackface, and a Democrat Lt. Governor accused of sexual assault. Both are still serving. We have 2 Democrat Senators. The Democrats will gain more US House seats and probably take over the state Legislature in the next elections.

We’re sunk.

I forgot that Clinton did do Operation Hold the Line and constructed border fencing.

The last worksite raids on construction sites around here were back during Clinton.

Obama was actually better on deporting illegals than both Bushes and Clinton.

Total myth. Obama was among the worst. He redefined how deportations were counted. Read these two articles:

Obama Deportations Definitely Not Record-Breaking

Where are all the deportations?

"The actual deportations record is held by the Clinton administration, which sent back 12.3 million over eight years, averaging about 1.5 million per year. Even the Carter administration deported more people than the Obama administration."

I believe that was because they changed the way of counting deportations. The statistics weren’t on the level. I’m no expert, but I think they started counting people caught crossing the border as deportees, when they hadn’t been before. Somebody else will probably know more.

We’ll do what we can, but we have to find a way to get to the 50%+ of ignorant voters who get all of their news from the legacy media, and they believe everything they hear.

For one thing, we need a cool bunch of freshman senators and congressmen to talk for the republican politicians like the dims have in the AOC gang.

Republicans should have stuck by suburban Fairfax.

Why did suburban Republican Tim Hugo lose last night.

The problem is good people no longer want to get their hands dirty and get involved in politics, which means you tend to have very weak candidates to vote for against the Democrats.

Too late. They are taking over the VA legislature in Jan. They will pass a new gun law unless we get out and demonstrate. That means you. Convince them we will vote them out.
