The House vote to establish procedures for a possible impeachment of President Trump, along party lines with two Democrats opposing and no Republicans favoring, was exactly was (sic) Alexander Hamilton feared in discussing the impeachment provisions laid out in the Constitution.
Hamilton warned of the greatest danger that the decision to move forward with impeachment will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties than the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt. He worried that the tools of impeachment would be wielded by the most cunning or most numerous factions and lack the requisite neutrality toward those whose conduct would be the subject of scrutiny.
It is almost as if this founding father were looking down at the House vote from heaven and describing what transpired this week. It is almost as if this founding father were looking down at the House vote from heaven and describing what transpired this week. Impeachment is an extraordinary tool to be used only when the constitutional criteria are met. These criteria are limited and include only treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. Hamilton described these as being of a nature which may with peculiar propriety be denominated political, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself.
His use of the term political has been widely misunderstood in history. It does not mean that the process of impeachment and removal should be political in the partisan sense. Hamilton distinctly distinguished between the nature of the constitutional crimes, denoting them as political, while insisting that the process for impeachment and removal must remain scrupulously neutral and nonpartisan among members of Congress (emphasis mine).

We won't ever get a 'NEUTRAL and NONPARTISAN" Congress, ever, if this charade goes on.
Commiecrats don’t care about what Alexander Hamilton said. They just want control within or without the law.

Hmmm.... bet this won’t make it into what is currently playing on Broadway.... https://www.broadway.com/shows/hamilton-broadway/
Agreed. But nothing is going to stop this. The Deep State is fighting for its survival. It goes beyond protecting the status quo. Hundreds of heads will roll (prison) if Trump is successful. They can’t stop now.
I disagree. The Deep State will be here long after Trump. They have learned how to wait him out.
And the DS has loads of money that will never run out.
...Hence the 2nd Amendment...

Once again, those evil white guys seem to easily out think our little bitty brained progressives. Even then, they figured that idiocy always tends to try to rule.

That’s a fact.
Turning Ben Franklin’s statement around for these tyrant-wannabees :
“They have hung together, so they will all hang together.”
