That is why they work so hard to shut up different ideas. Even by force. We must be louder and our reach more extensive.

NYT link has Lib candidate sucking up 26,000+ votes that could have gone to Bevin.

Then how do you explain the GOP sweep? Not exactly urban vs rural and conservative vs liberal.

Good question. Ky is, basically, a conservative state. But, the Teachers Union was FIRED UP against Bevin. Look at the vote totals. There were a whole bunch of people who showed up and cast ONE vote: Against Bevin.

KY is deep Red. Dems only control the governorship, Republicans hold everything else.

They are not smart enough to figure that out. I graduated with an education degree and license and quickly figured out most of my fellow grads were dumb as fence posts. I had a senior in college, high school history teacher to be with an emphasis in the US Civil War ask me under her breath on a test when did the Civil war begin and end. WTH! She’s probably a principal by now...

I don’t buy it. Looking at the numbers and something is very odd. I don’t believe so many people voted all Republican up and down the ticket and NOT the Governor. Doesn’t add up. Not scientific at all. If that any didn’t want Bevin, they wouldn’t have voted for all the other Republicans.

Does it not go to legislature if someone does not get 50% or something like that?

Fayette and Jefferson Counties have emptied their liberal votes...

But there’s not enough outstanding rural votes to make up the difference.....

Grrrrrrr!!!!!

Bevin’s decision to come out for tolls roads in Northern Kentucky the other day was quite stupid - he should have handily won those GOP strongholds and instead he lost them. They cannot be close if a Republican is going to win a tight race, let alone lose them.

The fact that Heather French Henry is apparently going to lose the SOS race is an indication people came out to vote Republican - just not for Bevin. Heather French Henry is a very well known and popular celebrity vs. the completely unknown Michael Adams - and it appears Adams is going to win - not by a landslide, but by a solid margin...if the electorate were not tilting GOP, that would not have been a close race, let alone a victory for the Republican.

I MIGHT end up close enough for a recount.
There are 125,000 people on the voter rolls that, legally SHOULD be OFF. It could end up in the courts.

But, probably not.

I am praying! And the fat lady hasn’t sung yet!
Maybe a recount? Looks very close. Just came in 49% to 49%.

365/24/7 negative press is working. Does not bode well for the House and Senate in 2020.

The way it goes... I admire some of the things Libertarians stand for but I’ve noticed that when push comes to shove, they will side with the Left on a lot of issues in the name of “freedom.” Lets face it, fiscal conservatism alone isn’t gonna save the country (if it can be saved).
