I live in KY. Republicans swept, and they swept massively.
Bevin’s problems had nothing whatsoever to do with his party affiliation. He was the least popular governor in the nation, and yet he still almost won. Frankly, when your car comes in second by a gnat’s hair, even though the state employees hated your guts, that’s impressive.
And Virginia has just become a suburb of DC, like Maryland. What took them so long?
i.e. bad analysis is bad.
Politics is still mostly local, if you suck, regardless of party, you’re out.
