A “tidal wave” of mass immigration has “tilt(ed) the field toward the Democrats” in the state of Virginia, the New York Times admits.
Last week, Democrats took control of Virginia’s House of Delegates and the State Senate. Now, the Democrats hold power over the state’s legislature, the governor’s seat and the lieutenant governor’s seat — the first time since 1993 that this has occurred.
The New York Times now admits that four to five decades of mass immigration — where about 1.2 million legal immigrants are admitted to the United States every year — has shifted Virginia into a blue state:
Not long ago, this rolling green stretch of Northern Virginia was farmland. Most people who could vote had grown up here. And when they did, they usually chose Republicans. [Emphasis added]
The fields of Loudoun County are disappearing. In their place is row upon row of cookie-cutter townhouses, clipped lawns and cul-de-sacs — a suburban landscape for as far as the eye can see. Unlike three decades ago, the residents are often from other places, like India and Korea. And when they vote, it is often for Democrats. [Emphasis added]

“It’s a totally different world,” said Charles Poland, 85, a retired history professor whose family has lived in Loudoun County for four generations. His family farm is now dotted with subdivisions filled with four and five-bedroom homes that sell for $750,000. The Democrats are making moves that will guarantee themselves permanent majorities in about 10-20 years. And the GOP is doing nothing to stop it.

There are entire neighborhoods in the suburbs of Washington that are 100% non-American newbies. I’ve often said that if middle America could see what much of this country has become they would be shocked.

15 years ago, my daughter brought her roommate home from college to visit DC - her roommate couldn’t believe the demographics of DC. And that was 15 years ago.

Some GOP like Flimsey Grahamnesty and Micro Rubio want to speed it up with amnesty for illegal aliens.
Are all of these immigrants, green card holders, actually going through the naturalization process??
We need a total immigration moratorium now for at least 10 years - no more H1Bs, refugees, etc
I lived in Annandale 20 years ago and could see the handwriting on the wall as far as the Democrat invasion. Falls Church and I believe Tysons were already pretty far gone.
My dad from New York City witnessed the same scenario there. He told me about how the immigrants basically pushed out the long time residents.
I stayed in downtown DC recently.
6 vending machines on a corner maybe 1-2 in English.The rest were in Arabic, Hispanic or Chinese.
The white women I saw were all fit and trim wearing yoga pants and walking their dogs. Lots of gay white people but did not see any gays of other races-not that they don’t exist
The Muslim and Hispanic women all had 3-5 kids in strollers or walking along.
Went out to Loudon cty VA to visit my sister while I town. At a Wal Mart I was the only white guy that I was aware of.
Did not see that many blacks in downtown DC as I remember from 30 years ago. The Muslims, Indians and Chinese have gentrified them out.
As others have said. Rest of Middle America does not have a clue what is happening.
VA has a Governor that likes to dress up in blackface at parties and a LT Governor that likes to rape women. The GOP should have been able to bounce all of these bozos out of office.
Blaming this all on immigration is a cop-out. It's not an immigration issue, it's an education issue and the GOP has been losing that battle in every public school for decades.
I'm guessing the thread title was an excerpt, since there was clearly a missing word there.
The Republican Party is way too Dysfunctional and loves to bicker and tear each other apart to prevent this from happening. It would take something called .... “Team Work” (Yes, Republicans, that is a real thing you should try it some time) ... To stop this.
There is a reason for that.
The reason will be acutely obvious in about 20 years from now, just like it took about 20-30 years for major portions of California.
It will be just another democrat controlled schiffhole.
Of course that is assuming the Republic survives 30 years of the expanding proglib insanity.
