Jeff Van Drew is a Democrat who was elected to his House seat from New Jersey in 2018. He had previously been a State Senator in that district for more than ten years, and represented that same district in the State Assembly for six years before that.
A Republican just won the special election to replace him in the New Jersey State Senate last week.
You know damn well these Democrats representing "moderate" districts all over the U.S. are telling Pelosi to shut this circus down ASAP.
Its hurting them. Where’s the upside to all this to those vulnerable Democrats? They don’t see it.
If Democrats can’t get van Drew aboard, its DOA even if they can still get votes for it.

As or perhaps more importantly, Patrick and Bloomberg have come forward as candidates. They represent the party money.
In addition to the congressional newbies, Nancy is certainly hearing from the money types who unlike the unwashed majority Democrat, have brains tempered with common sense. To my eye, she appears in turmoil. She has no clear course forward
