That is a very interesting observation. Could those votes have been lost betwixt ballot box & counting in NOLA?
Not necessarily. Some people don’t vote for down ballot races. They don’t think they matter as much. Yeah, it’s stupid. But that’s how some voters are.
So what likely happened is a lot of Democrats came out to vote for Bel Edwards and then left the rest of the ballot blank.
Same thing happens in presidential election years. Congress ALWAYS gets less total voters than the presidential race.
He lost by over 100,000 votes in Orleans (New Orleans) Parish which is famous for it’s crooked ballot stuffing.
