He continued, Its pretty apparent that this is not going anywhere other than to the, I think, landslide reelection of President Trump next year. And I know, Im on a limb saying that. Mark it down, dot the tape, lets watch it a year from now, the day after the election. Thats what I believe will happen. And the Democrats will have largely done it to themselves.

Perhaps wishful thinking...
Didn’t do much in the Louisiana Gov race?
Yup. Scores of people who might have been convinced to vote Democrat by a semi-sane campaign have been completely turned-off by this.
RE: Huckabee: Impeachment Inquiry Leading to Landslide Reelection of President Trump
Can someone please explain to me why both RED STATE gubernatorial candidates Trump campaigned for ( Kentucky and Louisiana ) lost their respective elections recently?
Actually, I think he did a lot in the Louisiana Gov race. It just wasn’t quite enough.
I feel that way about Bein in my own state of kentucky. Sure, bevin lost, but he was way behind, and then trump came to town. Out of 1.5 million votes cast, Bevin lost by 5k. And the rest of the Republicans swept handily.
I told friends during the 2016 election that Trump would win, even though the polls said he would lose. My reason: The press was making such a pitch against Trump, people were afraid to admit they were going to vote for him...until they got in the voting booth. Next year, the Dems aren't going to know what hit them. They have wasted so much time, energy, and taxpayer money, the public is fed up with it, and I think we'll see that at the ballot box next year.
Newt predicted a 3o-40 seat pickup in the house in 98’. He quit congress. He was wrong.
Unfortunately a lot of these governors races boil down to a subset of people who are addicted to the incumbent’s pork train.
But, but...CBS said 107% of Americans think President Trump is guilty! They polled every single American...and then some!
AMEN
They like their Democrat govs...
In Ky, since 1931, only four of the twenty elected governors have been from the Republican party, including incumbent Matt Bevin, (and I think) an incubant Republican has not won reelecion in like 100 years.
Off year governor’s races are also affected more by the local issues, as opposed to the national political situation.
And off year elections usually have much lower voter turnout. That can skew things too.
This household will be voting for Trump.
no no no- fox news this morning implicitly said ‘pres trump only won by the skin of his teeth, and that pete buttilib was rapidly climbing in poll numbers’ and implying that he’s a serious threat to the president- so there you have it- TDS fox says it, so it must be true-
Louisiana state and Kentucky state are strong arguments against the idea that this next election will be a landslide victory for Trump.
Its amazing how many people voted Republican for many offices, but failed to vote the executive officer for Republican.
Such people have little conviction in anything, not anything more than an establishment corrupt government.
[[What I find encouraging is that the Independents are almost lock-step in line with the GOP on most issues. ]]
But they usually are heavily influenced by the msm and usually vote, inexplicably, for democrats- We got the independent vote last election because independents wanted to try something different- and because Pres Trump was such a good businessman, they felt he could positively impact the US- which he has- but the msm won’t give him credit for anything- so who knows where the independents are today on trump- Hopefully still very strongly behind him as i think it was idnependents that gave us the victory last election-
If I remember correctly the democrat running for governor of Louisiana was the incumbent, was pro-life, was pro-gun and was generally conservative. He lines up closer to the republicans than many republicans do. Being the incumbent was what got him the win.
Doesn’t cost us anything.
In Kentucky I seem to recall the Republican running for governor was almost universally hated as he did some really stupid moves as governor. Although he was the incumbent he was not a strong candidate at all.
“Didnt do much in the Louisiana Gov race?”
Same thing was on my mind. Regardless of the point differential it is still a loss. If this country is hell bent on socialism, the green new deal and what ever. What else can be legally done? We have raised a group of people that do not have the same mindset as us ‘older’ folks. Whether if thru the education system, parental up bringing or illegal voting, we are at a turning point. Lord help us all.
Trump country is a lot bigger than Republican country. If you get my drift.
