Charles Barkley received backlash late Tuesday after Axios reporter posted on Twitter that the NBA Hall of Famer told her, I dont hit women but if I did I would hit you.
Alexi McCammond said Barkley made the remark after she asked for clarification over which Democratic presidential candidate he supports ahead of the 2020 race. The reporter said Barkley made the comment while speaking off the record. She said she published the tweet despite their agreement.

Just like he said he wouldn't.
What's the prob?
I love it when these Aholes get caught in their own politically correct bear traps.
Snowflake bitch
Now thats just plain funny
Some women push it to the edge.
Then when the man reacts they act surprised and hurt.
Relying on the fact the real man don’t hit women.
I have seen women physical attack men with intent to do the man physical harm.
Then when the man defends themselves the woman plays the victim card.

Yeahhhh, I read some Axios-stuff once. Reporting isn’t what they do.
And if the ‘reporter’ thinks that this comment by Sir Charles was bad, then she probably wasn’t old enough to remember his playing days with the Philadelphia 76ers. (Yawn)
I can see why that would provoke thoughts of violence. Maybe he supports the Libertarian!
It sounds like she’s mad because she got treated differently from a man.
Yea, he shoulda hit her to prove he wasn't sexist, right? Would thata made her happy?
He specifically said he would not hit her.
That’s hilarious. Good on you Charles. Haha.
Oh, yeah, you as a man can’t ever hit a woman. If she attacks you run and don’t come back. I hear too many stories in my office of men who let themselves be enslaved by these creatures. Leave. Have the guts to get away and stay away.
The reporter was asking Barkley why he was switching his support from Pete Buttigieg to Deval Patrick.
Apparently Charles Barkley has a thing for homosexuals.

... and no sense of humor.
Maybe she should think about what she did that provoked such a reaction. Not that I condone hitting women, but for a guy that doesnt hit women to say such a thing tells me this reporter stepped over the line.
Afraid I have to stand with Charles on this one. Was a liquor club bar doorman and bouncer after I finally retired for about 7 or so years and I can assure you that there were many of those so called “women” that I’d loved to have punched out during that time frame. Booze always seemed to bring out the ‘best’ err worst in them. Fighting and mean-mouthed and taking off their clothes after downing a few shots of hard liquor seemed to be their thing, some of them that is.
I have reached the point in my life where I simply cannot tolerate most women when they are drinking. Oh and many guys also.
I don’t have a problem with people drinking - they just need to understand their limits.
Maybe Charles prefers black queers to white ones.
