I think the republicans were trying to insult Vinderman with the job offer line of questioning.

Agree, but even more than insulting him. They were making clear where his loyalty is, and it’s not with America. A person doesn’t get three high-level job offers unless the offer-ers are sure you’re one of them.
And the fact that his supervisor walked in on him bad-mouthing the USA to Russians/Ukrainians adds fuel to that fire. He isn’t one of us, and the GOP made that clear.
I’m always leary of anyone not born in America — which he wasn’t. Even though he was very young, I think he still considers himself a member of the former Soviet Union.
After yesterday everyone in this country should know Schiff is lying when he says he doesn’t know who the whistleleaker is. He cut off the questions when Vindman was asked about the second of the two other guys he complained to. Vindmqn named the first one and Schiff cut him off when he was about to name Eric CIAramella. schiff not only knows the whistleleaker, but helped write the complaint. Maybe Nunes should have told Schiff, “You have a right to remain silent ...”
For sure, lower ranks can’t pull THAT kind of stunt and get off.
I have no doubt they offered him a job. He fits the definition of useful tool perfectly. Of course he also fits useless tool well.
Vindman left me wondering whether he might have made the original suggestion that President Trump should ask for an investigation into Joe Biden's Ukraine corruption. That would have been a great, preplanned setup to then claim meddling in a domestic election - when the reasoning given to President Trump would have been the president's lawful responsibility to investigate corruption. While it's a wild conspiracy theory, it's no wilder than the CIA and FBI directors coordinating a coup to bring down the newly-elected President of the United States before the Inauguration is even held, which we know actually happened.
I hope insubordination could earn him a commission as a Major.
Vindman should be court martialed or shot.
Vindman was born in the Ukraine.
Vindman wears the uniform of The United States but is working for Ukraine or Russia.
Makes no sense to me either.
Then give him non-stop KP, latrine cleaning and guard duty, and re-do boot camp ‘til he quits or misbehaves so badly from the strain that he gets a dishonorable discharge.
He lied to Congress! That’s a felony. Jail him alongside Michael Cohen.
So, Vindman’s twin brother, also an Army LTC, is a White House-based NSC lawyer.....
Would it not make sense that he went to his brother?
Vindman has been a leftest hack for years - and I suspect his twin is the same......
It is been many a year since I was in the service. If I remember correctly, there were restrictions on the type of security clearance one could get if they still had family members in communist countries. Not sure what the requirements are today..
