70 years ago Greta would have had a sandwich board “The Earth will end tomorrow.”
Alarmists to me means a person who is well versed on the sciences of it, logical, intelligent and has no agenda. These people are radical activists on a mission
I say we give everyone who says this a shovel, and tell them to go level out the Badlands so that it looks like a parking lot. Then tell me how easy it would be to "destroy the earth".
Not just that, but deaths from weather of any kind are about 1/10 of what they were in 1900. Deaths from yellow fever, malaria and other "tropical" diseases are now nonexistent, down from 1000's every year.
In the economy, the economic damage from weather has dropped from a percent or more of GDP to about 0.2% of GDP more recently, worldwide. Here in the US,the most economically expensive hurricane of all time by far is Miami 1926. The most expensive floods of all time were in Kansas 1951. Probably exceeded by 1844 but there was not much of an economy then.
