Bloomberg Reviewer Obsessed with Lack of Diversity in 'Ford v Ferrari'

Perhaps Bloomberg writer Hannah Elliott might want to consider shedding her social justice warrior armor while reviewing films such as the popular Ford v Ferrari because her obsession about "diversity" absurdly clouds her review. Elliott's antagonism to what she sees as an unforgiveable depiction of the white male oriented world of car racing in the 1960s begins with the title, "Ford v Ferrari Depicts a Generation of Car Guys That’s Best Left Behind," and continues throughout her SJW soapbox lecture disguised as a review.

As for the review itself, one only has to wait until the third paragraph for her obsession to begin:

It’s a beautifully shot film that will be enjoyable for modern car buyers and enthusiasts alike—engines rev, tires squeal, stopwatches click. But what I saw is a devastating picture of the lack of diversity that permeated the industry in the 1960s.

So obsessed is Elliott over "lack of diversity" that she seems to forget what the film is actually about in what appears to be a struggle with anger management issues on her part.

WTH? I hadn't thought about that until seeing this. What the hell was follywood thinking not casting Denzel Washington as Shelby? I mean we (someone) is altering historical fact all the time these days. Like nuzzlin' joe said, we choose truth over fact from now on. :-)

Note to Ms. Elliott: that’s how it was back then. Get over it.

I didn’t know that Shelby was gay. I mean, that’s why they got a gay guy to play him in the movie, right?

And example of exactly how low these people will go. The left and SWJ's are a bottomless pit of dispair.

These are the second generation of the LSD revolution, the crack babies are having babies.

There was a recent article that — about 20 or 25 years ago — Hollywood considered making a biopic of Harriet Tubman, and wanted to cast Julia Roberts as the lead.

At least at the time, at least to some people, having very White Julia Roberts portray ex-slave Harriet Tubman didn’t seen like an outlandish idea.

Today? White people portraying Black people?? What racism! What hatred speech!

But “Hamilton”? Perfectly fine.
Lack of diversity in “FvF”? Outrageous!

The double standards are disgusting. It has nothing to do with diversity. It’s nothing but hatred of Whites.

Auto racing continues to this day to be an activity that appeals mostly to white guys. An exception is F1 driver Lewis Hamilton. Oddly, and I feel sure triggering to the author, as it drifts from her narrative, the other drivers get along just fine with him. The author is obviously brainwashed with notions of diversity.

It’s nothing but hatred of Whites.

Promoted and pushed by Progressives to obtain and maintain political power.

Let’s ignore what it was REALLY like and put some homos and transgenders in the film so it shows “diversity” and makes liberals fell good.

I had not planned on seeing this film. Maybe I will now.

It's an OUTSTANDING film!

A rare Hollywood treat celebrating masculinity, friendship, loyalty, fatherhood, marriage, competitiveness, America, and gas-guzzling fast cars!

No "woke" or SJW virtue signaling.

I saw it Thursday. It’s excellent. Even Matt Damon couldn’t ruin it! Like most films it tinkers with the facts a bit to create more drama but it was very enjoyable.

Agree.

After all, the movie should have included the wicked Wakanda 400 as a competitor, since we all know that all history of Wakanda and it’s brilliant scientists & engineers were suppressed.

We should be thankful that progressives so unwittingly expose their total lack of intelligence when they write such stupidity.
