Polling suggests that the Conservative Party could win a 64-seat majority in the House of Commons in the December 12th General Election.

The poll of polls conducted by Electoral Calculus and published in The Telegraph has Mr Johnson’s party polling at 42.8 per cent, giving him 357 seats in the 650-seat lower house while Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party is polling at 30 per cent and is currently predicted to lose 55 seats.

But they still won’t get Brexit. If lucky, they’ll get a more favorable version of Theresa May’s deal.

Not quite the Thatcher landslide of 1983, but good enough for mini-Brexit. But I wouldn’t count those chickens until the returns come in.

19% is an outlier, but the lead has been solidly in double digits for a few weeks now.

Why are they having such a conniption over Brexit?

We aren’t part of the EU.

Why can’t they just leave the EU and then be exactly the same type of relationship we or any other nation has with the EU?

Norway isn’t part of the EU.

Switzerland isn’t part of the EU.

Iceland and Canada aren’t part of the EU.

A goodly portion of the old Yugoslavia and Albania isn’t part of the EU.

Why can’t they just leave and be the UK again?...................

Indeed we had hopes that Turdough would be toppled but all we got was a minority govt. up in the great white north. This is also hopeful but lets see how the dust settles on Dec. 13.

The EU is a lot like the Soviet Union - a forced ideological, utopian and political construct, kept together by printed money and centralized authority. Once you are in, you can't be allowed to leave. Even the smallest part leaving threatens the whole rationale for its existence.

6 months ago, everyone told me that is what was going to happen October 31. The only prediction though that seems to have held up is that Remainers, EU dead-enders and the British deep-state are doing their utmost to prevent Brexit.

Why are they having such a conniption over Brexit?

Because the European traveling class does not like to wait in lines with Americans at their first EU airport. To get to a good beach as a resident of the UK you fly in flipflops to Spain on a 39 dollar flight.

Why can’t they just leave the EU and then be exactly the same type of relationship we or any other nation has with the EU?

They can, they will then only pay the pensions of people who earned pensions in the uk. The deal with the US will be sweet because autos and trains are not huge UK exports.

Why can’t they just leave and be the UK again?
Because the UK governing class would be accountable again. Unless you are boris this scares the pooh out of the backside.

First order of business, if the Tories win, is to repeal the Benn Act and ram through Brexit.

Parliament will ratify the stalled Brexit deal. Leaving the Remoaners with the short end of the stick.

It seems like the number one problem is that their country is kind of split, people who think of themselves as countrymen are not actually in the same country. And since Ireland is in the EU, if Britain drops out, EU wants to impose a “hard border” with Ireland, essentially cutting off a free trade zone that has existed forever, and imposing taxes, fees, and paperwork.

Much of the bargaining with EU has been about trying to avoid this kind of border, but the EU realizes this is the leverage point, and have been very adamant about it.
