Bill Peters is out as Calgary Flames coach, four days after a former player came forward and said the coach directed racial epithets toward him while they were in the minors 10 years ago.
At a news conference Friday afternoon, Flames general manager Brad Treliving said Peters resigned.

Somebody said a racial epithet 10 years ago, and now must lose his job, over a verbal altercation from years ago?
Please tell me there’s more to the story of this coach being let go.

so accusations without any proof are now grounds for losing one’s job? Awesome! Someone can accuse all democrats of using racial epithets at some point in their lives! See ya! Don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out dems!”
Yes i know the story is about canada- but if accusations are now enough in canada- you can bet demos will make that same claim here too- likely already do in some places-

It’s interesting to learn where sports nicknames originated.
Some don’t make sense anymore, such as the Los Angeles Lakers. They originally were the Minneapolis Lakers, named because Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes. But there aren’t too many lakes in LA.......
Ditto for the Utah Jazz. The name made sense when they were the New Orleans Jazz, but doesn’t fit with Salt Lake City.
What, you mean Utah isn’t the first place you think of when you hear Jazz music?

If that’s the case, my old military T.I. must owe me millions.
Actually, truth be told, for what I walked away with after basic training, I owe my drill instructor millions.
