Bystanders reportedly used a whale tusk and a fire extinguisher to subdue the attacker in Fridays stabbing attack in London.
Footage has emerged of three bystanders, including one wielding a fire extinguisher and another with a 5-foot narwhal tusk, tacking 28-year-old Usman Khan, the suspect in the attack. Khan was ultimately shot dead by police.
It is believed the tusk was removed from the wall of Fishmongers Hall near London Bridge.

I gotta get me one of those narwhal tusks.
Katyn, by Andrzej Wajda, is a great movie. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.
Just don’t be near any Russians when you watch it.
I carry a narwhal tusk because a cop is too heavy!
At least he was getting some hurt on him before the cops shot him.
In that photo the Polish guy looks like hes lining up his unicorn horn to give the perp Vlad Draculas traditional treatment for a Turks.
Imagine how many lives could have been saved if one of those bystanders had been carrying concealed.
They are after all better than us. /sarc.
Exactly
Sure, everyone has a narwhal tusk tucked away to use on terrorists. Where on EARTH did this guy get a narwhal tusk? And why did the other guy think spraying the terrorist with a fire extinguisher would do anything? That wouldn’t be terribly effective unless you clunked it over the terrorist’s head. Maybe he did that later, but in this pic, he’s only spraying it. Looks like he’s watering a garden.
” And why did the other guy think spraying the terrorist with a fire extinguisher would do anything? “
Actually a dry chemical fire extinguisher makes a fine defensive or offensive weapon. Imagine taking basically 5 pounds of baking soda and blowing it in someones face at about 125psi. Their only thoughts after that is trying to breathe. You have probably 30 seconds to get in and neutralize the threat.
A dry chem would probably be my number 1 pick for somewhere I had no access to a firearm.
The dry chemical under your eyelids is going to painful and blinding.
Curious as to how the suspect was on the ground with a man on top of him and the police failed to take him alive.
I am not complaining mind you. Just curious.
I'm wondering where the hell the got it.
Cancel that...
Guess what? Turns out the tusk-wielder isn’t a Brit.
He’s a Polish national.
“I’m wondering where the hell the got it.”

What? You’re not packing one as your go-to C&C?
:D
Seriously, he was at a place called “Fishmongers Hall” when it hit the fan, the place had in on display. Per the Guardian:
“A man at Fishmongers Hall, where the incident began, grabbed a narwhal tusk that was displayed by the side of the halls doorway and, wielding it like a lance, deployed it against the assailant outside.”
