in 1974, I got my first job post college and it was in Manhattan.

I was raised in a small PacNW town and the language used daily in Manhattan was a surprise. It was the end of the Mad Men era as well. Quite an eye opener.

How Donald speaks and acts is no surprise. That's NYC standard.

Or to borrow a punchline from one of may favorite old jokes - they don't call a spade a spade. They call it a F’n shovel!
