My guess is that the Affidavit for Financial Means includes more that just tax returns. You almost expect people to under report income-something the judge has already mentioned. Would this also include bank statements that show deposits, even cash deposits?

It would be interesting if the bank statements revealed more income than his tax returns. Though, I doubt the court would turn it over to the IRS.

A neighbor messed up on some court date and forgot about it (so he says). He was later caught during a traffic stop and sent to jail. He did avoid prison and did work release for six months, but ended up losing that job as he tried to hide the fact that he had to return to jail every night.

“Life is tough. It’s even tougher when you’re stupid.”
