If not for airport TV they would no longer exist. They ARE the news source for Europeans though.
We have an exchange student from Austria. The other day he pointed to the violence in Mexico due to the “military weapons” from the US. We are not supposed to “engage” in debates with them but I could not hold back so I asked what military weapons. Response M16s. I asked how he knew that. He said from the news. I asked if “the news” pointed out how many sporting arms went to drug cartels by a stupid program under Obama. Response never heard of such a program. I then asked if he knew that the sale of M16s was illegal in US along with all automatic weapons. Response no. I suggested he reevaluate his news sources. The mediass is killing the US both in the US and abroad. A true fifth column in my view.
One thing CNN has going for the public, it is a transparent window into the “4am talking points.” Watch 10 minutes of CNN starting at 6am, and you will know the meme for the day.
Orlando Airport has either a weather channel or ESPN on their TV displays.
